David Blackwell Hall

David Blackwell Hall is an on-campus community serving first-year students at the University of California, Berkeley. With more than 780 resident beds, the LEED Gold community provides spacious accommodations, modern amenities to support the student lifestyle, vibrant retail, and a convenient location in the heart of campus. David Blackwell Hall was delivered through the University of California, Berkeley-American Campus Communities partnership, and named for the late David Harold Blackwell, professor emeritus of mathematics and statistics at the University of California, Berkeley and the first African American to ever receive tenure at the University.
